When your heat goes out in a Wyoming winter, it can’t wait until Monday. Alpine Climate Control takes heating calls every day of the year, including weekends and holidays. We help homes in Sheridan, Ranchester, Story, and Buffalo get warm again fast.
If your home has no heat, call us at 307-200-7377. We will get a technician on the way as soon as we can.
What Counts as a Heating Emergency?
Some heating problems can wait for a regular appointment. Others need help right away. Call us for emergency service if:
- Your furnace or heat pump stopped working and the temperature in your home is dropping
- It is below freezing outside and your home has little or no heat
- You have babies, older adults, or anyone with health concerns at home and the heat is out
- Your system keeps shutting off and will not stay on
- You hear loud banging or grinding, or see smoke from the unit
- A safety control keeps tripping and shutting the system down
In a Wyoming cold snap, a home without heat can get cold fast. Low indoor temperatures can also freeze your pipes, which can turn one problem into two.
If You Smell Gas, Leave First
Your safety comes before your furnace. If you smell gas, or your carbon monoxide alarm goes off:
- Get everyone out of the house right away
- Do not turn lights or switches on or off, and do not use your phone inside
- Call your gas company or 911 from outside
- Call us once you are safe, and we will help with the repair
Never try to fix gas parts or relight a furnace that smells like gas on your own.
What to Do While You Wait for Us
Once you know your family is safe, these steps can help:
- Check that your thermostat is set to heat and above the room temperature
- Make sure the furnace switch and breaker are both on
- Change the air filter if it looks dirty
- Keep doors to unused rooms closed to hold in what heat you have
- Open cabinet doors under sinks so warm air can reach your pipes
- Let faucets on outside walls drip slowly to help keep pipes from freezing
If the heat comes back after a quick check, let us know anyway. A system that shuts off once will often do it again.
How Our Emergency Heating Service Works
When you call, we ask a few quick questions about your system and what is happening. Then we get a technician to your home as soon as possible. We find the cause, not just the symptom, so the problem does not come back.
We work on any brand of furnace, heat pump, boiler, or gas fireplace, not just the brands we sell. Our team brings more than 30 years of heating know-how to every call, and most of our field staff hold NATE certifications.
Before any work starts, we explain what is wrong and give you an upfront price. You decide what happens next.
Emergency Heating Repairs We Handle
Our technicians fix the problems that most often leave Wyoming homes without heat:
- Furnaces that will not light or keep shutting off
- Failed blower motors and capacitors
- Ignition and pilot problems
- Thermostat and control failures
- Heat pumps that stop heating in cold weather
- Boiler pressure and circulation problems
For problems that are not urgent, our heating repair team can set up a regular service visit, often the same day or the next day.
